When it comes to branding, every detail counts — and your labels and packaging are no exception. Whether you're sealing up an order with a thank you sticker, labeling your handmade candles, or branding jars of homemade goods, custom labels make you look polished and professional. Don’t worry if you’ve never designed one before — Canva makes it super beginner-friendly, and with the right tools, you’ll be a pro in no time!
Start by going to www.canva.com. In the top search bar, type something like “label” or “sticker.” You'll see a variety of template sizes and shapes—circles, squares, rectangles, and more. Click on the one that fits your product best. (Pro tip: round labels work great for jar lids, while rectangles are perfect for packaging seals!)
Once the template opens, take a look at the toolbar on the left. Click Text to add your brand name, product title, or ingredients. You can choose from tons of free fonts—just click the text box and select a font from the dropdown at the top of your screen. You can also adjust font size, spacing, and alignment using the top toolbar.
Now let’s make it match your brand. Click on any part of the design (like the background, shapes, or text) and look for the little color box in the top left. This is where you’ll change colors. You can enter your exact brand colors if you have HEX codes—or just choose something that feels like you. You can also add your logo by clicking Uploads (on the left-hand toolbar), uploading your file, and dragging it into place!
