Using Canva’s Content Planner for Your Posts

If keeping up with social media makes you want to scream… you’re not alone. Between product drops, promos, and community engagement, posting consistently can feel impossible. That’s where Canva’s built-in Content Planner comes in! It lets you schedule and auto-publish your designs straight from Canva—saving you time, stress, and last-minute panic posts.

🖥️ Step 1: Create or Choose Your Design

Head to www.canva.com and either create a new post or select one you’ve already made. This could be a promo graphic, product announcement, testimonial, or even a seasonal drop sneak peek.

🔥 Want a shortcut? Grab a ready-made layout from the Diesel Designs Editable Canva Template Drive. It’s packed with templates sized for posts, stories, banners, and more—just drag, drop, and GO.

📲 Step 2: Open the Content Planner

Once your design is ready, click “Share” in the top-right corner. In the dropdown, select “Schedule” (this feature is available for Canva Pro users). The Content Planner calendar will open, letting you choose the exact date and time for your post to go live.

You’ll be prompted to select the platform: Instagram, Facebook Page, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. Just connect your account and set the posting details (caption, time, etc.).

📌 Step 3: Add Captions & Links

Canva lets you write your full caption in the scheduler—so go ahead and type in your promo, link, or call-to-action. Need help writing better captions? Pair this step with your copy from Diesel Designs content kits or previous Hustle Manual tutorials to save even more time.

🖤 Step 4: Confirm & Let It Post Itself

Click “Schedule Post” and you’re DONE. Canva will automatically publish your design on the platform, date, and time you chose. You can check your entire schedule any time by clicking “Apps” in the left sidebar → “Content Planner.”

✅ Pro Tip: Batch Create + Batch Schedule

The real magic? Design a week’s worth of posts in one sitting using Diesel Designs’ Canva templates, then schedule them all at once using Canva’s planner. No more scrambling to post while you’re elbow-deep in vinyl or chasing tracking numbers.
